Editorial standards

HVAC Agent Editorial Policy

HVAC Agent publishes homeowner information to make an HVAC service request clearer and safer. The editorial process favors checkable claims, plain American English, visible limitations, and direct links to primary guidance.

Public operating information

Accuracy and sourcing

Factual safety and maintenance claims should be supported by an identified primary source. The public page must not imply that a citation supports more than it actually says, and a source link must lead to the publisher rather than a search-results page.

AI-assisted drafting

Automated tools may assist with outlining, comparison, editing, consistency checks, or draft generation. A tool is not treated as a source. Publishable factual and safety statements must still be checked against the cited material, and generated examples must not be presented as real customers, contractors, results, or endorsements.

Safety and professional boundaries

Content may describe safe observations and preparation steps, but it must not instruct readers to open live electrical equipment, handle refrigerant, defeat controls, adjust combustion, or remain in a possible fire, gas, or carbon-monoxide hazard. It must clearly distinguish general information from diagnosis and emergency response.

Commercial separation

Knowledge pages may link to a relevant service route, but the explanation should remain useful without purchasing anything. A commercial relationship, paid placement, affiliate arrangement, or sponsored contribution must be disclosed where it affects the content. Independent editorial coverage is never counted until a public result can be verified.

Updates and correction requests

Guides display a review date and source list. A factual correction request can be sent to evgenii@hvacagent.app with the page URL, the statement in question, and a supporting source. A reported concern is reviewed before the page is changed; the site does not silently convert an unverified claim into a fact.

Privacy in examples

Published examples must not expose homeowner or contractor personal information. Test records, private addresses, phone numbers, access tokens, payment identifiers, and private correspondence are excluded from public editorial content.
